Lions Breakfast & After School Club
Lions is the Chase Bridge wrap-around child care provision, available term time for parents with children in Reception to Year 1-6. Currently, we offer a limited number of spaces to children in Reception when they start full-time in the autumn term. All Reception children are eligible to attend from the following spring term, depending on session availability.
Breakfast club
Breakfast club begins at 7.50am and children will be able to enjoy a range of different cereals, fruits, muffins and toast. The activities on offer will be quieter in nature and include lego, arts and crafts and board games, enabling the children to start the day in a calm and focused manner.
Children can be dropped off at any time from the start of the session. After breakfast club, Years 3 to 6 will walk round to class and Reception to Year 2 will be taken to their classroom by the Lions Team.
After school club
We are very lucky to have two different spaces on site for Lions after school club, enabling us to differentiate the activities for the different age groups. Children are able to go outside as soon as they have been registered and enjoy a range of activities including free play or more structured sports activities under the guidance of our sports coach, including table tennis, football, netball and rugby.
Children will also enjoy a range of activities including arts and crafts, puzzles, toys, cooking and board games as well as having access to quieter spaces for reading, chatting with friends or doing homework. The children will be able to move freely between all the activities on offer.
The After School Club operates from the end of the school until 5.50pm. For more information, please see the example timetable.
To apply for a place in Lions, download and print the relevant application form and hand into the school office. Please be aware there is currently a waiting list in operation for Lions.
