Who We Are

We know what a truly special year this is for children, parents . . . and staff! It marks the end of their primary school experience, and paves the way ready for them to embark on the next stage of their learning. Throughout their time at Chase Bridge, we watch with pride as they grow in maturity, reflect meaningfully on their learning, develop life-long skills and flourish with increased independence. As a Year 6 team, we harness this growing love of learning and encourage self-determination to ensure every child feels confident to achieve their very best . . . not only at the end of the year, but throughout the next stages of their education. With a year jam-packed with engaging topics, unforgettable trips, outstanding progress, exciting roles and enthralling performances, we know it will be one filled with memories they will treasure forever.

Your Year 6 teachers are Mrs Page (6P and Team Leader), Mrs Dight (6D), Miss Lalee (6D), Mr Bruce (6B) and Ms Chadwick (6B). Our talented phase group teaching assistants are Mrs MacDouall, Miss Whelan, Miss Panesar, Mrs Jackson and Mrs Yousaf..

Homework

Maths, spelling and SPAG homework will be set each week, and extended reading is expected every day. The children will be given a weekly planner to write their homework tasks in and due dates, as well as their daily reading achievements. These will be set in a variety of ways - activities to take home, assignments on Spelling/Maths Shed, or through Seesaw.
