Special Educational Needs & Disability
We value and support the learning of all pupils in our school and we pay particular attention to the needs of children who have learning difficulties or disabilities that make it harder for them to learn. We aim to ensure that all pupils in our school are supported and encouraged to make the best progress possible.
Our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) has prepared a report for parents and carers providing Special Educational Needs and Disability Information. This report is available to read in this section.

What is Zones of Regulation?
Within school we use the Zones of Regulation across all classes to support children with identifying and managing their emotions. We have included in this section a copy of the Zones of Regulation training presentation. This was delivered by our Educational Psychologist and contains plenty of ideas that many parents and carers may find useful for home.

Special Educational Needs & Disability (SEND) Local Offer (Richmond and Kingston)
You can find more information on local services and support available for families including children and young people aged 0 - 25 years with special educational needs or disabilities by following this link. Families from outside the boroughs of Kingston and Richmond will need to refer to the SEND Local Offer in their home local authority.
Arrangements for the Admission of Children with Disabilties
The arrangements for the admission of pupils with Special Needs or disabilities to gain admission as pupils to Chase Bridge Primary School fall within our duties under the Equality Act 2010 and are the same as those applied to all pupils. Admission is in the first instance arranged by application to the Local Authority. If successful,Chase Bridge then receives notification that a child has been allocated a place with us.
We will use our best endeavours to ensure that no child is unable to attend Chase Bridge Primary because of any special need or disability. In order to promote equality of opportunity for disabled children we will make reasonable adjustments (including the provision of auxiliary aids and services) to prevent them being put under a disadvantage.
In practice we ensure that classroom and extra-curricular activities encourage the participation of all pupils, including those categorised as having Special Educational Needs. Staff organise human and physical resources within the school to increase access to learning and participation by all pupils.
